Lincoln Memorial Kiosk

The first phase of this 220,000 square foot shopping center was originally built in 1957. Over the years the center was renovated many times. Although most of the renovations were cosmetic in nature, the structure had been modified to the extent that some of the existing walls could not meet the loading requirements of current codes. Abramson Construction Corporation participated with the Architect in examining the existing structure and was able to modify the structural framing to incorporate the requirements of the proposed design.

The most significant issue with this project, however, was the coordinate required by the replacement all of the curbs, gutters and sidewalks, while the Center remained open for business. Abramson Construction Corporation solved this problem by constructing a series of relocatable overhead protection barriers that could also double as a work platform for the construction team. The double use of these platforms provided the subcontractors better access to the work area without impacting the public accessibility.
